Youth Minister Search
We are so thankful to Jeff Linder for serving as our Youth Minister! In light of his decision to begin transitioning into another stage in his life, we have officially started a search process to locate the next Westgate Youth Minister … and we are excited to see what God has planned! Since you’ve made a special point of visiting this page, we’d like to fill you in on some details.
Westgate Church of Christ is located in Dothan, Ala. in the southeast corner of the state. Our average attendance is 400 on Sunday morning. In the last few years, we have renovated the youth area with state-of-the-art facilities, with the hopes of growing the youth ministry and attracting more visitors. We have 74 youth in grades 6-12, with about 55 active. Our average Sunday school attendance is 40.
Dothan is a great place to raise a family. The city population is around 68,000. Our community is large enough to have most all amenities needed for daily life, but small enough to avoid most of the hassles. We have an active city Parks and Recreation department and are within only two hours of the beaches of Panama City and Destin. We have a large public school system and several private schools in our city.
We are looking for a youth minister that will teach truth, foster discipleship, and develop leaders in God’s kingdom. Our hope is the Westgate youth will find strength, encouragement, and support in the youth ministry and will develop hearts of service for others, leading them to lead faithful, God-centered lives.
